I asked Catchpoint to come and fix an alarm system that they had previously fitted. I didnt have or want a maintenance agreement. I explained what appeared to be wrong before the contractor visited. They sent someone who only knew how to change the batteries, which obviously wasn't the main issue. That wasnt cheap and they even charged me £5 each for triple A batteries. They said it would cost an additional £250 plus parts to actually fix the issue. I told them I wasn't interested. Today I received an invoice for a maintenance contract. I'm not impressed with this company.

Absolutely the worst cctv company I have ever come across, On two occasions the DVR equipment supplied had been hacked due to not configuring the security in line with the manufacturers recommendation, Default passwords on the DVR and exposed to the internet by putting it in the DMZ !!! Even when i raised this with the company owner, He admitted to me he had had his own DVR compromised at home, I spoke with the manufacturer of the equipment and they provided a best practice document for the DVR installation, passed it on , still didn't follow it - Facepalm The excuses given are that "they don't do IT" Perhaps you should not be selling internet dependant products when you have such a poor understanding of how it is supposed to be configured, The last excuse for why the cameras were not working is "Windows 10 is too old and the software (Win 10) is out of date" Windows 10 still is the most common operating system in the world with over 71% of the market, the actual issue is they don't appear to understand how firewalls and security works lol, Analog skills in digital times Avoid if you have any sense

Had the Catchpoint engineers install our alarm and cctv cameras approx 5yrs ago. Any issues at all and the engineers always turn up ASAP and rectify the problem straight away and super friendly. The company is a credit to the owner Mr Lynch andi wouldn't recommend anyone else 👍
