I would have scored it higher as a system that works quite well out of the box and relatively reliable. However, when I cancelled the monthly subscription, that’s when I noticed the biggest problem. The system is basically redundant if you don’t subscribe! You can’t remotely arm and disarm the system and you won’t know if the alarm has been triggered. They’ve been talking about an update to the app to fix that but I think that’s a lie because it’s been over a year I’ve heard that. I don’t agree with being strong armed into subscribing, especially when everyone is trying to manage their expenses. If I had known his from the beginning I definitely would not have purchased. For that reason I’d strongly recommend against this. Do your research and ask that question, whatever system you’re thinking of getting.

SimpliSafe is a great house alarm. The guide to set it up is easy to follow,but if you need help there is a number to call. You can add extras sensors at any time. The internal cameras active if the alarm goes off , which you can monitor from your phone. Yes you do need to subscribe to a monitoring package but you are not locked in for a set time, is monthly based. When the alarm actives the call from the monitoring company is prompt. For me is as always been false alarms but it shows it works. All the sensors can be stuck or screwed ,I do recommend you screw then. Been a customer for 2 maybe 3 years now.

My initial order was despatched quickly and efficiently, the products were easy to install, and so far the system has performed admirably. I've had no issues I've needed to raise and other than an increase in price per month, no reason to be disappointed at all with Simplisafe. Very happy. I do need to to order some more sensors and possibly an external bell so I'll be back in touch.

The equipment is generally ok, but the monthly subscription is far too high. By removing it you lose basic functionality. If I were to buy an alarm again, I’d probably buy a Eufy one with no subscription model.

Great system but it took 6 days for 2 to 3 day shipping with installation completed 3 weeks after purchase! They don't tell you that part. System cost $350 40٪ off. Plus paid $228 for installation of a 1 bedroom apartment with outdoor camera. They did provide free months of monitoring due to the inconvenience of having to move in later than expected.
